Software edition
Software edition dedicated to
fluid mechanics with a cutting edge technology named Turb'Opty. This activity
is based on FLUOREM staff, experts in CFD development as well as in
specific applications including internal and external aerodynamics,
fluid-structure or fluid-acoustics coupling, prediction and analysis of
unsteady flows.
Distribution

Software Distribustion through a cross-partnership with a Canadian company Newmerical
Technologies International
(NTI). This
sofware specially design for aircraft and equipment manufacturers
performs simulation of adverse climatic environments such as ice
accretion and rain. It already is the tool of choice for serveral
companies such as Eurocopter,
Airbus, SNECMA Moteurs.
FLUOREM offers the 4 software module comprised in this software system :
- flow solution (FENSAP-ICE),
- water droplet solution (DROP3D),
- ice accretion (ICE3D),
- conjugate heat transfer and thermal ice protection (CHT3D)
Moreover, a mesh adaptation software, OptiGrid, is also available.

The second partnership, marking a strategic turning
point for the society, is established with a major Japanese firm, Software Cradle Co., based in Osaka
already present in USA, China and Korea. Among the distributed products, we can
refer to SC/Tetra, an integrated “all-in-one” thermo-fluid analysis system
which revolutionizes the image of past commercial CFD software products in
“speed, simplicity” and “total cost”. SC/Tetra is actually widely used in the
automotive industries, for several applications ranging from aerodynamics,
powertrain, HVAC (including the most advanced thermoregulation model to
simulate the temperature and the amount of perspiration of human body), to
other fields like sloshing in fuel tank or internal flow in a break rotor.
Toyota, Daihastu, Yamaha, Nissan, Honda… are actually members of SC/Tetra users
Assuming that the CAD data for the product design will
directly used as an analysis model, this multi-purpose package has many
functions to repair and modify the CAD data in case any error or defect exists
in the data (CADthru), to automatically generate full 3D unstructured mesh with
prism layers to account for walls and boundary layers, or to auto-adapt the
mesh refinement according to the calculation situation.
In addition to
simulating standard fluid flow and heat transfer applications, SC/Tetra can
calculate various phenomena such as Chemical Reactions, Arbitrary Lagrangian
Eulerian (ALE), overset mesh or dynamic ALE for moving and/or rotating
boundaries, electric current (joule heating) analysis, cavitations, and
aeroacoustics. ,
CFD software that are used to having many function
options tend to be complicated and difficult to use. SC/Tetra is equipped
with a well organized and intuitive GUI with Wizard based to guide setting
boundary conditions which simplifies the process. At the end
of the process, the Cradle post-processor is used to provide, in addition to a
variety of advanced functions useful for CAE experts and for third parties
viewing the results, several animations as an ideal way to visualize both
steady-state and transient phenomena.
Beyond the automotive applications, many customers
using Cradle’s product are in the fiel of E&E, construction and civil
engineering, heavy industry, machinery, materials, etc.
Consulting
Services and specific studies
in numerical flow simulation: FLUOREM's consulting activity aims at
providing to theirs clients tailor made solutions by a deep
comprehension of physical phenomenon. By their pluridisciplinaries
skills, FLUOREM realises any services by using its own tools and
software. FLUOREM staff can take part into your own software. Our
policy is to give you an adapted service thanks to our experience as a
software editor.
Training
Training
The courses illustrate the state-of-the-art in optimization and
parameterization methods in CFD.
The governing idea is to try to bring into light theses recent
technologies for which, very often, amalgam and confusion are made.
This implies to do first a simple but complete description of each of
them, and secondly to put the emphasis as much on their common fields
and their complementarity, that on their implementation and their
differences.
Each course is specific, and proposes programs which link theory to
applications through demonstrations and training based on our software
which cover different approaches :
Physical analysis using
numerical simulation (Turb'Flow),
Approach to Robust Design
(Turb'Design),
Approach to optimization
(Program of 11/15/2005)
Approach to Advanced Design
(Turb'Opty).
