FLUOREM was created in may 2000, to develop market and support software for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applications, using a cutting edge technology, which expands the capabilities of in-house or commercial CFD codes. The name of this tool is Turb'Opty™.
The advantage of this method is the possibility to parameter the solutions of a physical phenomenon just from an initial solution calculated by a classic CFD solver.
As a result, engineers could run only one set of calculation for certain values of the physical parameters and get very quickly the whole range of solutions seeing the potential of such a parameterization tool, the two researchers decided to spend some time abroad; in the United States for Pascal Ferrand and in England for Stéphane Aubert so as to check the accuracy of their method and to make sure that nothing similar was being developed abroad. After a period of assessment, they finally decided to create FLUOREM in May 2000.
FLUOREM becomes the first company capable of offering a cutting edge parameterization and optimization tool for CFD studies.

 Origin

In 2001 FLUOREM develops some partnerships with organizations and associations such as ANVAR (Research and valorization national agency), Rhône-Alpes entreprendre, the ministry for research, the National Center of Scientific Research (CNRS) and The "Conseil Générale du Rhône".

2002, during its 2nd operating year, FLUOREM was the winner of the Eurowards Europeans start up with its software: Turb'Opty™. This victory allows FLUOREM to participate to European program and to attract investors.

2003, FLUOREM becomes the exclusive distributor of Newmerical Technologies International (NTI) a Montreal-based company that provides state-of-the-art software and engineering services for multi-disciplinary CFD simulations. Countries covered by this agreement are FRANCE, BELGIUM and ITALY. 
At the same time FLUOREM starts to establish Turb'Opty™ within the industry.

2004 means for FLUORE' the start of its growing phase with (restructuring period with Turb'Opty™'s launching, thanks to its new partners' arrival which are : Rhône Alpes créations, Spef, Amorçage Rhône-Alpes, Crédit agricole, Rhône Dauphiné Développement.

In 2005, Turb’design 2™ was released and Turb’opty™received the « Top innovation » prize from Siemens VDO.

In 2007, FLUOREM launched TurbLlin™, a linearized solver for frequential analysis.
This software is the result of more than 20 years of expertise built in the Turbomachinery department of the LFMA, and which field of investigation is mainly focused on the complex problems of Fluid/Structure interactions and vibro-acoustic instabilities.

In 2009, FlUOREM improves its international presence thanks to a new partnership with Software Cradle Co., a Japanese company based in Osaka and already implanted in Asia and North America. This collaboration has two goals, first the distribution of Cradle Co. products and mostly a technological partnership aimed to bring strategic improvements.
