Heat Designer
HEAT Designer is a compact thermofluid analyses tool specifically developed for designing electronics. HEAT Designer provides a seamless usability from the modelling to the visualization of results. Settings can be made with Wizard, and results can be obtained easily and quickly without prior knowledge of CFD. Since the number of parts tends to be very large in thermal design of electronics, HEAT Designer provides design environment for designers in which CAD data can be utilized and virtual design can be easily simulated.
Features
Handling of GERBER dataCreate a heat conduction panel on wiring face. Calculate the percentage of wirings per 1 panel mesh element. Distribute the thermal conductivity of a heat conduction panel locally. Handling of thermal vias. Calculate the percentage of thermal vias per 1 solid mesh element of the board. (Board thickness direction only). Distribute the thermal conductivity of a solid board locally.
Use of CAD Data by means of ParasolidSolid model data can be imported from 3D CAD via XT and STEP format. This strengthens the tie between design and simulation with information about original part names and locations. Thus, the time spent on modeling can be dramatically shortened.
Parts for Thermal DesignBasic parts of electronic devices are provided for modelling. These parts can be created easily, and used in addition to CAD data to create analysis models.
Registration of Parts LibraryParts can be saved in a database, so-called Parts Library, with their geometry, material property, and other settings. Parts with frequent uses can be saved in the library, and they can be used by just drag-and-dropping them from the library onto the draw window.
Navigation of Analysis Settings with WizardA variety of analysis types and conditions are provided. Settings can be made easily with the Wizard, which guides an user like a dialogue.
