Turbomachinery
Turbomachinery is among the most complex problems encountered in CFD. Flows are generally unsteady, high speed, rotational, and geometries typically have a high degree of curvature, leading to a strongly tri-dimensional swirling turbulent flow. Precise and high level modelings are then necessary to treat such flows. Thus rotating boundary (ALE) function, transient analysis, mixed flows, parallel computing are all assets used to carry out the simulation of rotating blades, propeller fans, turbofans, etc...
