Newmerical Technologies International’s success recognized by the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada
Oct 26, 2010At an impressive ceremony-taking place at its Annual General Meeting in Ottawa (October 26027, 2010), the AIAC has bestowed its inaugural James C. Floyd Award onto Professor Wagdi Habashi, President of NTI. The Award is in recognition of Recent&Canadian&Aerospace Achievement. The AGM was attended by over 500 members representing the Canadian aerospace industry from across the country, as well as invited speakers from the USA, France and Canada.
The Award is in recognition of Professor Habashi’s original idea of developing FENSAP-ICE, and his perseverance in front of adversity in bringing this modern technology to a commercial stage and making it today’s most advanced in0flight icing simulation code for aircraft, rotorcraft and jet engines, second to none around the world.
In no small measure, this award is a recognition of the doggedness, inventiveness and dedication of the NTI team in conceiving, designing and developing all facets of FENSAP0ICE that makes it the choice of all forward looking corporations, interested in ensuring the highest level of safety for flying into known icing.
Most pleasing are two facts. First, is the legendary figure after which the award is named, James C. Floyd (96 years of age and may God give him a long life), who was the Chief Engineer of the AVRO. Jet Fighter, a concept ahead of its time that met high reluctance and was halted by the Canadian government of the time due to external pressures. The second pleasant point is for NTI to be the “inaugural “ choice of this award.
To NTI employees and our supportive customers worldwide: thank you for making us the noticeable success we have become.
